Afraid that our religious freedoms are being threatened?

It is inevitable. Sooner or later, we will have to face it. That is just the direction in which the whole world is moving. There will come a time when speaking out what the Bible says will get us into trouble.

In the face of this, there are those who have chosen the way of compromise and decided to preach a "hip," cross-less, blood-less Gospel that pleases the world, while others have decided to stand strong and to continue to preach the uncompromised Gospel of the Cross of Jesus.

Have you read the history of the Church? The Church of Jesus Christ is most powerful and full of life under persecution. The Church does not do well when things are cushy and it has political influence and power. That is the time when its preachers and its members get “fat,” comfortable, and money hungry. They legitimize greed, materialism, and comfort. They get lazy, complacent, and lukewarm. Persecution, on the other hand, purifies and brings fire!

I know this by experience, as one who spent almost a year in prison for preaching the Gospel and was under the threat of execution. The things that the Lord Jesus did in my life during that difficult time of prison and persecution are priceless. They set the direction and perspectives in my life, and are still bearing fruit today, several decades later.

Persecution is nothing pleasant, or something that we ask for; but when it comes, we face it with Faith and Fire!

"Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!" Matthew 16:18
