Always Be Ready
I had just arrived from Africa to my old hometown of Uppsala, Sweden. Walking around in a shopping mall I heard someone call my name. I turned around and it was a man whom I did not recognize at first. After he introduced himself, I remembered him. He was a brother from Iran whom I had led to Jesus in 1981. I hadn't seen him for many years.
I remember the time I first met and shared Christ with him in a student housing complex at Uppsala University. He was a Muslim turned hard-boiled communist and had all kinds of arguments against Christianity. He was smarter than me and had an argument against everything that I said. I finally realized that our "debate" was getting me nowhere.
I noticed that he had a physical disability. He could not walk and needed several surgeries in different parts of his body.
This was my opportunity, and I pounced on it!
I asked him, "If I pray for you and Jesus heals you would you believe in Him?" I then laid my hands upon him and prayed. Jesus healed him, and he received Christ after that.
It was such an encouragement and blessing to meet him after all these years. Today he is serving in the leadership of a local church and God is using him.
So, my friends...
1. ALWAYS take the opportunity to share Christ with people.
2. ALWAYS be bold to pray for the sick in Jesus’ Name.
