The Cross Covers All

The Bible clearly teaches us that our Lord Jesus bore upon Himself ALL of our sins and ALL of diseases and infirmities. What He did upon the Cross covers ALL of humankind, with nobody left out.

Yet there is a "doctrine" being taught that very often it is not God's will to heal some people.

This is not found anywhere in the Bible, and is made up by people to cover up and spiritualize their own unbelief and lack of spiritual power.

The remedy to such unbelief and lack is firstly to humble oneself and acknowledge one's own lack of power. Then to go immerse oneself in the Word of God. Then prayer, fasting, and seeking the face of God until one has an encounter with Him.

Pressing into the presence and the power of God brings greater results than sitting and making excuses.

After 44 years praying for the sick I can say this: I have seen the dead raised up and multitudes of people healed, but I have also seen so many who have not received their healing. Facing this, I have chosen not to question God, nor to reinterpret the meaning of "healing in the atonement." On the contrary, I have realized more about my own frailness and God's limitless power and compassion. I have chosen to press into the presence and the power of God, on my knees, with tears and brokenness. I have chosen to seek to try to be more like Jesus and to seek to have more of His resurrection power flow through me.

Such a thing becomes a life-long quest and one lives with the constant burning cry of, "More o Lord! More!"

It is in this life-long quest, and in this life of constant hunger that we find the power of God, and not in the making of theological excuses.
