THE WELL-SPRING OF MIRACLES
I was going through some old testimonies and came across this one that arrived by email after a meeting in which I had preached in Syracuse, NY for my friend Pastor John Carter.
The testimony was written by the mother of a six year-old boy who had hydronephrosis, which led to kidney failure. He had stopped eating and only weighed thirty pounds. He urinated blood and was in great pain. The doctors wanted to remove one kidney completely and part of the second one as well, but were unsure if he would survive the surgery.
The mother brought her son to the service. Our Lord Jesus touched the little boy, and God healed him. Everything turned around. The doctors said that there was no explanation other than that "it is a miracle of God."
All glory to our Lord Jesus!
When I see things like this, (and I see things like paralyzed people get up and walk, the blind see and the deaf hear) I understand that these are way above and beyond my level of faith or anointing.
These things happen SOLELY because our Lord Jesus was whipped, beaten, bruised, and crucified, bearing our sins and diseases upon His own self in our stead. He rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father with ALL power in His Hand.
The key to such miracles is solely the crucified and the risen Christ. When we preach that old Gospel story, God will ALWAYS come down and confirm His Word. Our part in it is so little; all that we do is to lift up Jesus and speak His Word.
Miracles flow from the cross and the throne even today. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
"Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."
Psalm 103: 2-3
