Healing and miracles are an integral part of the Gospel.
Healing and miracles are an integral part of the Gospel. They reveal the compassion of Jesus for the sick and the suffering. Additionally, they serve as signs that the same Jesus who can heal your body can also save your soul.
Unfortunately, the world and large segments of the church today scoff at the ministry of healing. They view many of those who are anointed to minister to the sick as frauds and charlatans.
We cannot blame the world for this. Just look at today's healing ministries. Many of those who are well-known for ministering healing, act and dress like circus performers. There is so much showmanship, flamboyance, and flashiness built into their "style” of ministry that it largely obscures Jesus and instead elevates the person on the platform. The person shines brighter than Jesus does.
God will not share His Glory with any other!
I personally find this revolting as it turns many away from God or from Spirit-filled ministry.
Not all are like that, and I am blessed to know some who have powerful healing ministries, minus the circus act and the love of money.
The Apostle Paul said, "For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord; and ourselves as your servants for the sake of Jesus." 2 Cor 4:5
All healing ministries must flow from the Cross with a spirit of servanthood and compassion for people.
In the times ahead of us, the Lord will raise up pure, humble, and powerful servants of the Gospel who shall preach Christ followed by signs, wonders, and miracles.
Humility and brokenness will be their hallmark. I believe that we are going to see this happen. Then the ministries of healing and miracles will be respected and held in high esteem again.
"Now we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be from God, and not from us." 2 Cor 4:7
